2026 DRIVE EXAMINATION

Written Exam:

• The written exam will be taking place at your home institution. Please be sure to check with your PD or PA for more information.

• The review of the written exam will take place after your oral exam on Saturday, January 17th, 2026, at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel- in Toronto International Airport.

• There will be an orientation and 'exam tips' session the evening prior to the oral and exam review, on Friday, January 16th, 2026. This is mandatory.

• Please be sure to arrange your travels to Toronto so that you have sufficient time to attend the orientation.

Oral Exam:

• The DRIVE oral exam component will be in-person, at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel- in Toronto International Airport.

• The oral exam will take place on Saturday, January 17th, 2026. You will be scheduled either to do the oral exam in the morning and attend a review of the written exam in the afternoon OR to attend the review of the written exam in the morning and do the oral exam in the afternoon. You will be scheduled into one of the streams once you have registered and receive confirmation. Please make sure to register on the registration page of the website, and book your hotel stay.

• Effort will be made to place those with longer travel times at an earlier timeslot, however this cannot be guaranteed.

• The oral exam consists of 6 examination stations that are OSCE (oral structured clinical examination) style, and 1 rest station.

• You will be required to visit each examination room in sequence. Each station will last approximately 20 minutes.

• The written exam review and oral exam take place at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel- in Toronto International Airport. Please see map below.

• You are responsible for arranging your travel and accommodations. Please note that while we will make an effort to schedule those who require more travel time, earlier, this cannot be guaranteed. Please ensure your travel plans do not interfere with your exam time.
